Pancakes in Paradise....

Just a quick post to let you know we found it....our paradise of white sandy beach, aquamarine to periwinkle water, wind bent palms, no bugs, breezy comfortable temp. ......

No hurry this morning...will put up dinghy and kayak for walks on the beach. Unfortunately, I can't go In the water...have cuts still healing on my leg. Paul checked out our anchor in (25") and enjoyed seeing colorful fish & perfect water temp.

So, I said this would be a quickie but then you know that I usually talk in paragraphs....

Photos-last pkg of pancake mix and Vt. syrup )heated like mom used to do in a pan of hot water not microwave)
#2-One view from bow.

Happy weekend! Love Leslie

PS....taking votes on the gray hair.....have Miss Clairal aboard....

  2. Hi guys !! Trailers.....Well, ours came with a large family of mice !!! Nothing compared to all your adventures, but it took us 5 nights to catch 9 mice which terrified me during the night !! Not sure why I am so bothered by those little buggers, but the fear is real. Just seeing them running around the floor at night was so gross and creepy!! The trailers were a bit stuffy, lack of nice big windows kept them hot and air couldn't flow like it does in the older trailers like the one we used to have. The main bed was very short, so unless our heads were at the very top of the bed our feet would run into the wall that separated the tiny bedroom from the rest of the trailer. I would never buy that model!!! Storage room was at a minimal due to the pull out at the table set, so you loose all the normal storage room above. I would never rent from them again as the owners very unconcerned about the mice problem. Other than that the trip was as great as normal with the family. Lots of hiking, swimming and exploring around Tahoe. Campground was full the entire time unlike it used to be when it only filled up on the weekends. Sad that it has changed so much. They now mow and weedeat around the campsites for fire prevention which means they blow all the old pine needles away from the camping sites which used to keep it cleaner on your feet. Now you are left with nothing but fine dirt in the campsites which makes everything much dirtier!! Kai was like pig pen from the snoopy cartoons. Two minutes and he would look like a dirt magnet so funny but oh soooo dirty, of course it didn't bother him but drove colleen nuts !! Most of the time he looked like he had painted his face with dirt war paint!!But...such wonderful family time anyway. Not too sure what we will do next year....rent a house again or try to find another trailer rental, but sure we will do it again one way or the other. So hard to reserve a camping spot though when you have to reserve 6 months in advance and they all fill up so fast !! We ended up split all over the camping ground..not as nice as being able to get them right next to each other. Oh well...changing times !!! Love, chis and bob
